  • Impact design.

Based on three decades of experience in strategy, sense making and systemic innovation, two decades in the TED world of conferences, interdisciplinary collaboration and impact making both internationally and Hungary, we have developed a unique, effective and life affirming approach to impact and change making, systemic innovation and transformative success strategies.

In our approach, impact is born, rather than manufactured, so we need to design a process of guided emergence, deep systemic understanding and frameworks of constructive collaboration and solution design, where the softer dimensions of culture, emotions, narrative frameworks, behavioural patterns are aligned and work together with strategy, business and science.

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality.

To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

    Organic Impact Design

We call it the Biotech of Management.

Organic Impact Design is a transformative planning and management tool we developed through decades of research and experience, optimized for the new complex, fast changing and unpredictable environment. Working with leaders in diverse set of fields and businesses, we have found that “static” planning and management tools are unable to offer us real impact and change.

Our model delivers focus and consistency, while allowing for creative freedom and evolutionary agility at the same time, thus harnessing a vast amount of latent energy. It optimizes for an emergent and networked world, where change is a constant and adaptiveness is a key success trait.

It leads to powerful impact, break-through solutions and transformative success strategies. It can help you evolve to the exponential world of the 21st century.

    • Business & Social Impact Strategies
    • Organizational Design & Change Management
    • Speaker Coaching & TED Style Event Design
    • Customer Engagement & Brand Revitalization

So infuse Organic Impact Design into your planning, preparation, innovation and change management processes. We can help you focus on purpose, versus goals. We help you design action frameworks, versus “executing machines” for predefined plans.

    But that’s just a start…

    Systemic Sense Making

Traditional mechanistic and technocratic situation analysis, siloed efficiency based on specialization often results in policies, processes and solutions that are incompatible – or at least are burdened with high level of friction – with the complex reality of life. In a world where complexity is exploding and transformative change in motion becomes our everyday reality, the bottleneck is often rooted in how well we can make sense of what is happening around us, how well we can shift with the changing context and design solution strategies that are able to focus on where it matters most.

Systemic Sense Making is our methodology to understand the challenge or topic as a coherent and living whole, as an ecosystem with its living dynamics, to understand where the most impactful levers and bottlenecks are (as a system) and design how to intervene in a constructive, collaborative and human way to increase effectiveness, drive meaningful progress, but also motivation, loyalty and satisfaction.

Narrative frameworks are a key component of this, but rather than a communication tool, we use them in this context as a sense making vehicle, since our human evolutionary story has led us to see and make sense of the world through them: in other words, we understand the world and ourselves through stories, so if we want to have a better understanding and a clearer vision of what to do, we need to have better stories.

Our services focus on helping clients with transformative understanding of their situation as a story or ecosystem, identifying levers and bottlenecks of change or impact, and actions to trigger and guide emergent change.

    Artful Narrative Design

We believe Art has a unique approach to engaging with the world and we have much to learn from that. So we merged and infused Art, Business and Science to create an alternative way to narrative shaping. An alternative to the comms approach of message and communications. Because we believe the most powerful narratives are born and not made, cocreated and not imposed (even if packaged to look otherwise).

Artful Narrative Design (AND) is a creative, participatory approach to nurturing narratives that emerge from within communities rather than being manufactured from above. Instead of trying to “make” people care, AND helps stories be born—aligning with what people already value and guiding them toward more promising futures.

Rooted in systemic thinking, AND blends the depth of artistic practice with lived experience to create narratives that explain reality, guide action, and offer hope. It moves beyond campaign-style messaging and advertising logics, activating four interwoven components—Source, Creative Disruption, Story Design, and Experience Immersion—to create the conditions where new narratives can grow.

Through this framework, AND bridges fragmented perspectives, builds relational trust, and cultivates narratives that people not only understand but feel, inhabit, and carry forward as their own.

The stories behind the scene, the narrative frameworks are often the most important cultural infrastructure you need to build and found your strategy on, without which motivation, drive, loyalty, creativity, engagement, coherence and agility, therefore success and effectiveness illude us, even if we have great processes and technocratic strategies. So – aligned with the latter – we help with cocreating these powerful social engines to change the real game.

    Csaba Mányai

    Impact Architect, Curator, Systems Strategist

Csaba has spent the past two decades exploring how we can adapt to and succeed in our fundamentally changing environment and redesign our systems to fit our new challenges. Earlier he worked with Hungarian and global companies, agencies, institutions and leaders on (re)designing marketing driven business / institutional / political strategies, having also written a book on the subject, titled ‘Instead of Advertising’.

Building on that he researched complex systems and value innovation, using that knowledge to found TXD Impact Design Studio and help clients with designing breakthrough systemic innovations and impact strategies. He has also designed and curated many smaller and larger, local and international events, examples of which are the global Well Being Summit held in Bilbao in October 2021 or TEDxDanubia (and the corresponding social platform and movement), which he initiated, led and has been curator for since 2009, and in which context he has prepared over 200 high calibre speakers, both international and Hungarian.

Since 2017 he has also been working closely with Community Arts Lab (Porticus Foundation), building a global network and platform through the Community Arts Network, as strategic director and network/impact architect. He has also been part of and co-founder of the Systemic Climate Action Collaborative, an innovative initiative aiming to achieve a game changing impact on climate mitigation and adaptation at global scale through systemic action.

He has also spent 5 years researching a new hybrid organization model and theory on how to apply and activate systemic sense making and self-organizing agility into effective management and worked on implementing this at local and international companies and institutions.

Finally, has researched and worked on the systemic understanding of Hungary’s and Europe’s grand social, narrative and systemic challenges with the explicit goal of deep systemic and actionable innovation.
